On the 7th day of OpenAI’s ‘shipmas’, the company unveiled ‘Projects’ – a new ChatGPT feature that makes it easy to organise chats.
OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT has been demoing and announcing new features since last week. As part of its ongoing ‘shipmas’ celebrations, the Sam Altman-led company announced it is rolling out “Projects” for ChatGPT, a handy tool that makes it easier for users to organise things they are working on.
In a demo video, OpenAI employees said that Projects would appear on the left sidebar and that users can customise things like the title and the colour of the project icon. Users can also add files and instructions to ChatGPT to modify how the AI chatbot responds to things in a project and even import previous chats to existing projects.
To create a new project, open ChatGPT and click on the + button that appears next to Project on the top right of the page. Now, give your project a name and proceed to tap on the “Create Project” button. OpenAI says Projects will use GPT-40 and that users won’t be able to change the default model.
